What is Truth?

Developing a Biblical Worldview

Dr. Del Tackett President of the Focus on the Family Institute and Senior Vice President of Focus on the Family; chief spokesperson for Focus on the Family’s The Truth Project—a nationwide initiative designed to bring the Christian worldview to the body of Christ.

The world is suffering a crisis of truth.

Surprisingly, the church is as much a part of the crisis as secular society.

In a recent study, the Barna Research Group revealed a stunning statistic that continues to reverberate throughout the evangelical world: Only 9 percent of professing Christians have a biblical worldview.

In response, CCN invites your congregation to join Dr. Del Tackett as he encourages believers to become aware of this powerful shift and take steps to return to the truth of the Bible.

“The body of Christ has so bought the lies of the world that we have not only conformed to the world, but we are suffering deeply from the consequences of believing those lies… one of the effects of a comprehensive and systematic biblical worldview is that you are not as easy to fool…” says Del.

You’ll learn how worldview affects every arena of life: purpose, work, relationships, economics, suffering. Because of this, many believers now live very similarly to non-believers, without the hope, freedom and humanity God intends.

Dr. Tackett will challenge your community to take a critical look at what the culture is saying! From the sweeping success of The Secret  to Oprah Winfrey’s online spirituality classes based on The New Earth, both the media and its celebrity icons are delivering powerful, new  “gospel”  messages each day.

Your community will discover that, most importantly, a biblical worldview rests on the truth about who God is.

You’ll address the questions:

  • What is truth?
  • Why was Jesus born?
  • And more…

“Do you really believe that what you believe is really real?”
