Most parents would like to know that their efforts are making the right kind of difference.
Yet, very few parents find the time to step back and receive the kind of feedback that's needed.
Now CCN offers parents an exciting window into the way they parent!
Invite the parents in your community to join one of America’s best known family physicians, Dr. Walt Larimore, as he helps you understand your unique parenting style and its impact on rearing highly healthy children.
In this practical seminar, parents will explore the four basic styles of parenting, while addressing the questions:
- Which parenting style is the most effective?
- Which parenting style represents my current style?
- What things can I do to improve my parenting skills?
Dr. Walt will help parents assess their parenting style based upon their amount of warmth and demandingness. According to Dr. Larimore, a parent's ability to balance these two important ingredients is directly related to a child's overall health.
"I like to think the balance between these two skill sets—warmth and demandingness—represents a balance of love and limits—relationship and rules—caring and constraints—prizing and protecting," says Dr. Walt.
In this fun-to-watch program, Dr. Walt offers parents medically reliable, biblically sound, and extremely practical parenting advice that will give your congregation the help and hope that it needs to become the best possible parents.
Parents will identify:
- Practical ways to build and develop their parenting skills.
- Specific areas of need for their child(ren): physical, emotional, spiritual, relational.
Give your parents the tools they need to raise a generation of highly healthy children!
