Worship is more than music. But what does worship look like in a healthy church? And what about the how and the why of worship?

Dr. Robert Webber, the founder and director of the Institute for Worship Studies, understands the big picture and the intricacies of how worship can best be integrated into the life of the local church.

For more than 30 years at Wheaton College and now at Northern Baptist Seminary, Dr. Webber has studied and taught about the impact of the worship experience in the lives of individuals and congregations.

More Than Music will help you see how traditional, contemporary, and postmodern congregations can wrap their minds and hearts around the ancient beauty of worshiping God.

Joining Dr. Webber for this practical seminar on worship principles are some of today’s best-known and most beloved worship leaders: Chris Tomlin, Ron Kenoly, Dennis Jernigan, Floyd Ellsworth and Joel Engle, who also serves as the host of this event.

More Than Music will help you discover:

  • If worship style is important
  • How worship can be both contemporary and ancient
  • What the Bible says about worship
  • Important elements in building a worship team
  • How to introduce new styles of worship to your church
  • And much, much more!

Get ready for in-depth teaching about worship accompanied by a powerful worship experience!

A well-respected authority, he has authored more than 40 books on worship and the church, including The Complete Library of Christian Worship, Renew Your Worship! and Ancient-Future Faith.

Chris Tomlin is perhaps best known as a worship leader for Passion conferences. His passionate, transcendent music and worshipful abandon have connected with people who are looking for authentic worship leading. His approach to songwriting, performing, and worship is simple: we should all decrease so Christ can increase.

Ron Kenoly is a popular recording artist and worship leader. He was a successful charting singer in the early 1970s before recommitting his life to Christ in 1975. He received his master’s degree in music and became a voice teacher. While serving as the worship leader at a Pentecostal church, Ron was discovered by Integrity Records. He has recorded numerous worship albums and is a Dove-Award winner

Dennis Jernigan is a popular recording artist and worship leader, and directs Shepherd’s Heart Music. He is also the author of several books, including This is My Destiny. He is the host of the weekly “Night of Praise with Dennis Jernigan,” which airs on FamilyNet TV. He and his wife Melinda are parents of nine children.

Floyd Ellsworth is the cofounder (with his wife Michelle) of Ancient Wells Ministries, an organization devoted to training and encouraging the next generation of worshipers. Floyd leads worship and encourages worship leaders all over the United States , as well as in Argentina , Uganda , Malaysia , Russia , and Israel . He recently released his first album, “Cried Holy.”

Joel Engle is the founder of SPIN360.com, a quarterly modern worship resource now used by thousands of churches worldwide. His songs have been recorded by some of the best-known artists in today's Christian music scene.  He leads Bible-based events called Surrender Conferences and is involved in many other worship events nationwide throughout the year.  His next album will be in bookstores this fall.
